Annual Scholarships at Cummings School

New applicants and current students are encouraged to apply for financial assistance. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need and are administered through the Office of Financial Aid.

Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is grateful to the individuals and organizations that have established the scholarships listed below which provide significant resources for student financial aid.

AAEP Foundation/EQUUS Foundation, Inc. Scholarship
Annual scholarship awarded to a second, third, or fourth-year DVM student demonstrating financial need who is interested in pursuing a career in equine practice.
Charles D. Beeler Scholarship
Annual scholarship to assist a student in good standing with financial need who is planning a career in small animal medicine.
Bil-Jac Foods, Inc. Scholarship
Annual scholarship for a second- or third-year student in the top third of his/her class who shows an interest in small animal nutrition.
Bobby’s Ranch Scholarship
Annual scholarship to a student interested in large animal or wildlife medicine, with preference given to a student from Westford, Acton, Littleton or Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Janice S. Calkin Scholarship
Provides annual financial aid in the form of scholarship grants to needy and deserving students in the M.S. in Animals and Public Policy degree program.
Daryl Knibb Carlow Annual Scholarship
The scholarship supports a second or third-year veterinary student in good academic standing.
Charles River Laboratories Scholarship
Donated by Charles River Laboratories, Inc., a Massachusetts-based global corporation providing products and services in support of drug discovery and development, these scholarships support qualified students in the DVM program, with preference given to students interested in research.
Eastern Dog Club Scholarship
Annual scholarship awarded to a resident of the New England states who is not related to or connected with a member of the Eastern Dog Club. The recipient is chosen by the Executive Committee of the club on recommendation of the dean of the school.
Henry L. Foster, DVM Scholars Program
Established by Dr. Henry L. Foster, DVM 1983, H92, founder of Charles River Laboratories, this program was designed with two goals in mind: to encourage and recognize Tufts veterinary students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership; and to motivate students to pursue careers in laboratory animal medicine and the biomedical sciences.
George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation Scholarship
Provides annual scholarships to assist needy veterinary students.
Michael and Robin Hession Annual Scholarship
Established in 2005, the scholarship is awarded to a second, third or fourth year DVM candidate interested in pursuing a career in small animal medicine.
Stormy Le Roi Scholarship
In memory of a beloved thoroughbred, this annual scholarship is awarded to assist a third or fourth-year student who is planning a career in large animal medicine. The recipient must be in good aca­demic standing and in need of financial assistance.
Elmina B. Sewall Foundation Scholarship
Provides scholarships to qualified veterinary students planning careers in large animal medicine, with preference given to residents of Maine.
Westminster Kennel Club Foundation Scholarship
Annual scholarship to a qualified student interested in canine medicine or surgery.
